Audition

Apply today for Copenhagen’s Film and Theatre School

AUDITION INFO

We offer you an uncompromising and intense education in a safe environment, with committed educators who have daily contact with the industry and students who are ready to share their experiences with you.

To apply, you need to attend an audition. Either a traditional audition, an Online audition or an Recorded audition.

The audition takes place as a 3 hour workshop. During the test you will go through various individual and joint exercises. There will be both physical and text-based portions of the audition. There is no need to prepare anything for the audition, as the audition material will be given to you during the audition process. Come dressed in clothes that allow you to move freely. After a maximum of 10 days, you will receive an answer by email, whether you are accepted or not. It is not possible to receive an individual evaluation.

We seek to evaluate your potential for learning and in taking part in the education. We assess whether you have the potential to acquire knowledge and skills throughout the education, so you can create a career as an actor. In addition to the school’s leader and teachers, there will be two student representatives present during the day and there will be an opportunity to hear about their everyday life at the school and ask them questions.

ONLINE AND RECORDED AUDITION

ONLINE AUDITION:
Once we receive your registration form, you will be contacted by school staff within a few days to arrange the audition.
Online auditions typically take place via Teams, Skype or similar service, depending on what is agreed upon.
The audition will typically consist of an interview, as well as some physical movement and a monologue/reading.

RECORDED AUDITION:
You will receive a PDF with instructions from us on how to produce video material that the school can assess your potential from.
A recorded audition is done by filming yourself with the equipment you have available. For example, a mobile phone.
We typically ask for 2 short film clips. A monologue/reading and a clip with physical movement.
It is fairly simple, but our teachers are very trained in seeing potential.

Both Online and Recorded auditions can be taken continuously throughout the year, but we encourage you to do so well in advance of the desired start of school, as we have limited places.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION:

Regardless of whether you want to participate in a physical audition, online or recorded, we need to know a little more about you. Fill out the form below and select the type of audition you want. Please also remember to attach a well-looking picture of yourself. We will then send you more information and instructions.

It is free to audition at KFTS.
You will receive a response by email after a maximum of 7 days whether you have been accepted at KFTS or not. There will be no possibility of individual justifications.

The date of the next admission test can be seen in the registration form below. The audition is always held at the Copenhagen Film and Theatre School, Hørsholmsgade 20, 2200 Copenhagen N. The time may vary and will be announced after registration. But it typically takes place in the afternoon.

The admission test is common to all the school’s lines.
